New Nuke submit script available |
September 21, 2011 |
I have put together a simple Nuke script that opens a little render interface and sends jobs to Smedge from directly inside of Nuke. You can add this to your Render menu, for example, to submit your scenes directly to the farm.
It is still very simple, and does not include all of the control directly through the window, but you can always modify the script to add other parameters directly. I will add more functionality over time, and your feedback would be helpful in making it better |

Smedge 2011 Beta 3 is ready |
February 11, 2011 |
This is the latest (and probably final) beta of Smedge 2011. Most every planned feature is in place, and most of the documentation is done. If you have any problems with any previous version of Smedge, I recommend trying this build out, because it is also the most stable build yet. |

Integrate Smedge with your openPipeline setup |
January 27, 2011 |
I have uploaded a new script that can be used as an openPipeline addon script. This script integrates Maya with Smedge via the openPipeline open source framework (www.openpipeline.cc).
This script makes it easy to keep your renderings as organized as your assets and shots using openPipeline. The asset/shot information and version are integrated into the Smedge Job name and the image output location, making it easy to find the render that goes with a specific file, or the file that goes with a specific render.
To install the script, copy it to the "addons" folder in your openPipeline installation. The first time you run the script, it will ask you to locate your Smedge installation. You can also have the script download the current list of Pools from the Master.
Be sure to let me know if you have any questions. |
