Can I use Windows Remote Desktop instead of VNC?
Yes.
Windows Remote Desktop has a commandline interface that you can integrate with SmedgeGui's VNC commands . The commandline tool is:
%SystemRoot%\system32\mstsc.exe
You can integrate this as the "vnc" viewer by following these steps:
- Select System > SmedgeGui Options...
- Set the VNC Viewer Command string to something like this:
MSTSC /v:$(Engine)
You can see the full set of MSTSC command line options by typing:
MSTSC /?
You can use other VNC clients or remote desktop solutions this way as well. This option is available on every platform.
