Nothing appears in the Gui
- First, make sure that the Master process is actually running on one machine on your network. If the Master process is not running, no other Smedge component applications will operate.
Linux | Use ps or your favorite process list program to look for SmedgeMaster.bin |
Windows | Use the Task Manager to look for SmedgeMaster.exe |
- Make sure that there is no firewall software running on your machine, or that you have opened up the firewall to allow Smedge 3 component applications to communicate with each other.
The SmedgeMaster process listens on port 6870 by default. The other ports are dynamically determined by the system as they are needed.

- If SmedgeGui can connect to the Master, but you don't see any of your Engines make sure that the SmedgeEngine process is running.
